Give

  • Because of the Gospel, disciples of Jesus are called to give locally, regularly, intentionally, proportionally to our means, generously, sacrificially, freely, thankfully, out of love for God and for others, and joyfully. (1 Cor. 16:1-2; 2 Cor. 8:1-15, 9:1-15) 

  • The Bible has a lot to say about giving, but, at the heart of giving, is a worshipful response to God because He first graciously gave to us. John 3:16

    Jesus said "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth. But store up for  yourselves treasures in heaven." Matthew 6:19-20

     In 2 Corinthians 8:9, the Apostle Paul wrote, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich."

    Let us continually gleam from these verses as we consider how the Lord is calling us individually to give.
